Bernice’s Chicken Stew (Mick’s Mom) - GREAT for SNOWY winter days.....

( this is the stew Bernice made for her boys to take to hunting camp and I have continued the tradition - not the healthiest but definitely hearty! GREAT for snowy winter days.....)

1 whole chicken – cooked in water or chicken broth (on stove top or in crock pot)

Bone and skin and place in large stock pot
Add 1 can chili (I use the steak or chicken – Stagg)
1 can Ranch beans
1 can creamed corn
1 can whole corn – not drained
1 can green peas (drained)
1-2 cans chopped tomatoes (no added salt)
1 large onion diced
some garlic powder/salt
1 or more Tbsp chili powder
some onion powder
1 can chicken broth (or broth from cooked chicken parts)
little cayenne if desired

Might add a can of tomato sauce or some V8 if needs more tomato flavor

Whatever kind of pasta you want

Put all in stock pot and cook until pasta done

Freezes well – I used Walmart chicken breasts in the one you had (boneless-skinless)
