God’s Compassion in Us

(a devotional from my upcoming book Afternoon Whispers from the Heart of God - coming this fall!)

Child you are my daughter/son, I know your heart. I placed My compassion within you. Step out on the waters and walk towards Me. Touch the children as you can, they reach out to touch you. Selah

There are many hurting ones in our lives who need His touch. We are called to be His hands reached out and His arms extended. Our Lord Jesus has equipped up to reach out in His name while we are here on earth. We can open our eyes to see and our mouths to give an encouraging word. Instead of hurrying through the store with our list and agenda ask our Lord to show us one who needs His encouragement, to know His love or a gentle touch. So many do not yet know Him. The clock is at one minute before midnight. Today is the day to be bold and LOVE in Jesus’ name.

Exodus 2:6 And when she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”

Let’s look into the Word together and ask the Lord what these scriptures say to us. Take a pen and write down a bit of what the Lord is saying to you about them.

Matthew 14:29

Mark 6:26

Luke 8:47

My Commitment:

Prayer: Father God, please help us to have ears to hear and eyes to see motivating us to remember to reach out in Your name daily. So many need you still, Your salvation, Your healing, Your touch and concern. We truly can be Your arms and hands here on earth and show Jesus to many, by our love. Help us make this so on a more regular and ongoing basis we ask in His most wonderful name! AMEN
