"Don't Rock the BOAT"

Mark 4:37-40 New King James Version (NKJV)
37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”
Our Lord Jesus was asleep and then He stood up in the boat, in the middle of that storm. That was probably going against all these fishermen had been taught since childhood – “don’t stand in the boat”, “stay low and safe during the storms” never mind talking to the wind and waves….
BUT JESUS!! How does this apply to us? We are His Bride or whatever you would like to call members of His “oil in our lamps and eagerly awaiting His return” church. We are encouraged over and over in His Word to walk in His footsteps and become more like Jesus. I think this includes our actions, words, responses and daily life choices. God is there – the Holy Spirit will teach us and our Lord Jesus is our current and permanent example! Thanking HIM!
Are we READY? I think it is past time to be radically committed to our soon and coming KING and His powerful, last days PLAN!!! HE is our all-in-all!
So, what do we need to do? Soak in His Word, LISTEN to His “still, small voice”, go when He says GO and, be willing to “rock the boat”, especially during these times of overwhelming storms. Maybe we are called to be "boat rockers"?

God's Beauty and Hand on the Land (Gunnison, Colorado 2016)

I Almost Wasn’t

Lifting sunlit eyes
Many faceted green
You wrought
When I was but
Womb bound

You brought
All Your pre-thought
To be
Together found

Sperm and ova united
Breath of life
You breathed
Holy Spirit ordained
Pre-held little one

Joyfully known
By the hosts
Of heaven
Before my mother
Had a clue

Cherished of God
Before my mother
Shed tears
Earthly sorrow

She made her choice
I was given life
To grow
And glow and know

What You planned
For two celled
Plans in time
And then Eternity

She’s with You now
And I thank her still
Her difficult choice
My life, my breath
As she exercised her will.

Jeremiah 1:5 (New King James Version)
“ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Psalms 139:13 (New King James Version)
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

Gunnison, Colorado 2016 Gorgeous Leaves and Fresh Snow....

Little Rebel or Big Rebel Neither are “Pretty”

We have all observed or maybe been the participant in younger years the toddler’s temper tantrum. That little one defiantly saying NO, then going into a kicking, screaming, yelling fit in hopes to get his or her own way; right now, the way they want it without regards for anyone else except SELF
Do you ever wonder how God sometimes sees us? Once again I sense He is whispering to my inner ears and my heart:
"You have seen my beauty in the mountains, in the valleys and even in the desert. Know that you have beauty when you are on spiritual mountain tops or in valleys, yes, even in spiritual deserts. Rebellion has no beauty because it is not somewhere obedience puts you, but rather SELF.
Look to me for your strength and renewal, daughter. I have been with you and you shall grow to bloom again. You are loved and understood and cherished by your Lord. There is no condemnation in rest. Refresh yourself in my Word. Selah."
In Psalm 46:10 we are entreated to “be still and know that I am God”. The Lord, through David, then goes on to say that He will be exalted among the nations, He will be exalted in the earth. Let’s look at this for a minute. Does that make sense?
That the Creator of the Universe should be lifted up, should be praised and looked up to? Or would we think that a little one, crawling around and not even able to walk yet should get all that notice and adulation? Pretty easy decision with that picture, isn’t it? We are not our own God. We are not running the show. Some of us know from experience where that can take us when we try to “take over” and call all the shots. Some of us are blessed to even be alive because of the incredibly UN-insightful choices we have made. Enough said.
In Matthew 11:28 Jesus calls us to Him promising rest for all of us who labor and are heavy laden. Isn’t it great to realize that there is one strong enough to handle all our stresses, strains and backpack boulders if we simply call upon Him?
In Psalm 23:3 David is giving credit to His Lord saying He refreshed my soul, He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. This, too, is taking the burden off us and giving it to Him who is able.
In 1 Samuel 15:23 we are reminded that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, stubbornness is as inequity and idolatry, and that because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also had rejected you from being king.
This is a pretty strong admonishment. We can easily tell that God wants to lead us and hates us to rebel, that there are consequences if we do – for our safety and for the well-being of those around us. Thank you, Lord.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to see into our own hearts and yield to you so we can dwell in Your peace and rest. Allow us wisdom to squelch even the mental footstep towards rebellion and self exultation. Please help us to keep humble hearts and teachable spirits before Your throne. AMEN

Things That We Lug Around that We Don’t have to Carry

In my mind’s eye I see a scene. It is sunny, a gorgeous day in Everytown. There are many, many walking on the streets which have the hanging baskets of pansies and petunias cascading down from the lamp posts. Bright sun is lighting the sidewalks but wait, there are nets all over, some people are struggling to take a step and becoming more and more entangled. The people with huge backpacks are having the worst time with their heavy loads and then laden down with the backpacks too. I see others who have taken off their backpacks who struggle to hoist them overhead, just as they do a huge hand comes down from the clouds to lift the heaviness from them. Wait, it is incredible, those who give their weighted down packs to that “hand” are no longer touching the pavement, nor susceptible to getting their feet all tangled up in those awful nets. They are actually floating, no rising off the pavement with flaps of their wings? Wow, once they give that heavy and weighted down “backpack” to the “big hand in the sky” they can actually fly. They no longer have to walk from place to place but can fly above it all, above the congestion, crowds and those awful snares. They seem to have lightness and freedom and you can even see the release just looking at their faces. What is going on here?
OK. The scriptural basis for this would be much, I am including just a few below.
In Isaiah 40:31 we are told that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.
I love the use of the word “shall”, not might, maybe or perhaps but shall. It shall happen, period. Do not listen to the enemy when he tries to get you to doubt the word of God. This is a great promise (set of promises) and you can take them to the bank as they shall happen.
In Psalm 124:7 David mentioned that our soul has escaped as a bird from the snares of the fowlers; the snare is broken and we have escaped. Good word picture and notice that David doesn’t say might or possibly will but that our soul had escaped. And that the snare is broken, this indicates to me that the snare is not functional and I am not going to be snared again.
In Psalm 141:10 David says let the wicked fall into their own nets while I safely escape. I am sure David had much experience with this one and can give us hope from his experiences of escape.
In Matthew 18:7 we are given a wonderful picture of a compassionate master (God) “Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.” (NKJV)
Is our debt to God forgiven? I can say an empathic YES, if you have asked His forgiveness and been given a “new life”.
If you haven’t then there is definitely no better time than right now. Jesus paid a terrible price on that cross. He did it just for you (and for me). He is God and without sin. He can totally set you free if you but ask. Please ask Him to forgive you and be your Savior to know this awesome gift, even today.
Our debt is forgiven, ALL of it. If we sin after we are “saved”, and who hasn’t sinned daily, HE is righteous and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, we need to bit ask. Our heart’s desire should be not to sin but to walk as close to our Jesus as possible.
What’s up with the backpack so often filled with boulders? I am defining bounders as things that should be given to Jesus, things which are not ours to carry.
For example: those people you hurt really badly “back then”. Maybe you had an affair and hurt not only your spouse but also the person who participated with you. You are still feeling condemned, even though you have asked forgiveness. This comes back to haunt you over and over in the daytime and even in the night when you wake up. Maybe it interferes with your sleep. This would be a boulder.
The enemy is the accuser of the brethren, that means you, if you are part of the Body of Christ and “born again”. This affair or any other thing he might try to condemn you with is made “white as snow”. The blood that the Lord Jesus Christ shed at Calvary was for ALL your sins, past, present and future. Yep, the affair is no surprise to Him, yes, it broke His heart but he died to set you free. Can you give that to Him and allow Him to take that “boulder” out of your back pack? He already died for it. There is no further price to pay. There is nothing you did that was a surprise to Him since He knows the end from the beginning.
Whatever is in your backpack He says that the “bill” in paid in full. Not by you being good, not by anything you (or I) can do or did, but by Jesus, period. The enemy will tell you that your sin was worse than anyone else’s and that there is nothing that can set it right. I guess we get a choice at this point to either believe the enemy or the Lord Jesus Christ. That looks like a pretty simple choice.
That is what those people were doing when they took off the weighty backpacks and handed them upwards to that big hand coming down from the clouds. GIVE those boulders to the Lord. His blood has made you a new creature. You are covered with His robe of righteousness.
You no longer have to listen to the condemnation of the enemy. There are times when I even agree with him. Yes, I did do those things and I was a creep but Jesus paid my penalty, the DEATH penalty just for me! Quote scripture like Jesus did in the wilderness. Satan cannot stand to hear praises or the Word of God and he will leave. The Bible tells us to submit yourself therefore to God and resist the enemy and he will flee from you. The promises in the Word work.
James 4:7
[ Humility Cures Worldliness ] Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (NKJV)
When you “rise up with wings of eagles” you truly are above the sidewalks, congestion and the snares that would otherwise entangle your feet. No mystery here, you fly above all of that and come closer to God in the heavenlies. I don’t know about you but that sounds like a glorious, smart and tactically wise thing to do. Again, this is another promise from the Word of God. His Word is faithful and true.
This is going to be at least two parts because I haven’t yet touched upon “burdens”. Burdens are things which we are supposed to carry. Burdens in prayer, things the Lord gives us to stand strong in the battle ground for, lots of times on behalf of someone else.

Spirit of Isolationism

We live in the middle of a most beautiful mountain meadow. There are more elk, deer and blue birds than there are neighbors. The neighbors we do have are really great, kind of like neighbors back in the ‘50s, helpful, concerned but not overbearing and making one feel like part of the community.
There are many out this way who love Jesus. There are also many who don’t gather to corporately worship Him. Oh, they have their reasons – they are too drained from being with many people all the work week and need their time off to relax, hike or go off by themselves where they can worship God in His creation. “Well, the preacher preached something that I don’t think is in the Bible…” “Did you go and speak with him to see what scripture he was referring to….?” “No, I am finding a church that is more traditional…” Then soon this person is not in any fellowship….
Our skies are exceptionally blue, scrolled with puffy white clouds against a backdrop of dark green pines etching the horizon with their ragged beauty. The mountains are snow capped and you will find them in any direction you turn. Wild flowers pop up, a planting of the Lord, in their season. Little critters are born and raised in the ponds, valleys, hillsides and skies. You couldn’t find a more beautiful place to live but the enemy is working in so many out this way.
Hebrews 10:25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (NKJV)
The above scripture is misquoted, rearranged, disregarded. Why would someone choose to avoid the Body of Christ?
There is something so special about corporate worship. Being together and all lifting praises to our King Jesus. What do we miss when we choose not to come to the gathering? We miss refreshment – being refilled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing. We miss renewal – being quickened, challenged and restored. We miss thought provoking questions posed by the speaker, other members of the Body and the Spirit of our Living God giving us things to ponder and help us grow. We miss being used of Him to encouraged or love on someone else who desperately needs a touch that day, using you as His arms extended and His hands reached out. We miss a chance to learn, grow and become more like our most incredible Lord Jesus. We miss seeing the Lord move in powerful, tangible ways to heal, touch and restore individual members of the Body. We miss seeing forgiveness in action through those being made new in Jesus and in the Body as they operate in forgiveness one to another. And I have barely begun to make this list, with the Lord’s help, off the top of my recollected memory.
If you truly love Jesus, why wouldn’t you love His family? No, that family isn’t perfect. This alone should give us all hope, we are learning and growing and we aren’t alone on this pathway. We are not expected to be perfect. There is freedom in knowing that we are growing along with this family to become more like our older brother. We haven’t arrived yet but are in process, pilgrims on the way. None has arrived, yet. No one expects us to be perfected, nor do we need to have that expectation of any other. There is room to learn and grow and still be loved/loving.
It seems lately that so many have fallen away. The enemy seems to gloat over being able to divide and conquer. Get someone isolated and pretty soon they begin to believe those thoughts that are dropped into their hearts “you are weird, no one else who claims Christ struggles with THAT….” “Boy, are you still battling THIS?” “You can’t go back to the Body until you straighten up in those areas….”
Condemnation. John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Which sounds like a better choice?
This is not to chastise anyone but to give a word picture of what it is you are missing, giving up by not “gathering together” with other believers.
You are losing the preciousness of sharing each others laughter, joy and victories and having others step up to help you carry your sorrows when they come. There is a scripture which I cannot find about sharing sorrow cuts it in half and sharing joy doubles that joy. We can only have this when we are around the Body to be able to do that sharing.
It is not that God sits there shaking His finger at those who choose not to meet. It is that He is grieved because He sees how much you are missing that could make your life so much more full, so much less burdensome. When you aren’t fellowshipping Satan basically has your ear and can lay anything on you he would like to. There is no voice of reason to counter balance that voice of condemnation. There is no sanity of sound Body balance to straighten things out for you and give you HOPE. There is no brother or sister saying “I can relate, I went through that myself and this is what our Lord did for me….”
No, this isn’t just living in a mountain meadow surrounded by all God’s beauty. This is warfare AND we can be more than conquerors. We can, but we need to remember to gather with the Body. Our very worship and praise is an integral part of bringing down that stronghold. The question remains, do we want to walk crippled and half able or upright and in VICTORY?

Making Time and Taking Time

Making Time and Taking Time

Have you had a time when you weren’t working or were between jobs with a little more time than usual? And then realized that maybe you missed the most important thing you could be doing during that time? I have been there. In retrospect the most important thing I could have done was to spend time in the Word and with my Lord Jesus. I didn’t. I know there is no condemnation to those in Christ who walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh.  I am reflecting back on that time so that next time I will have learned what really matters. Here is what was on my heart back then:
Prayer: Father, I need You and I want to really desire to press in spending quality time with You; undistracted, in Your presence.  I am not such a blessing to You lately. Please help me? Please help us in the church to be where You want us – SOON, Lord Jesus. Forgive me for not using my recent jobless time to get closer to You. Thank you for the time you do give me each and every day – help me to choose wisely! AMEN

Strive not, daughter. Be at peace before Me. I have heard your cries. I Am working. Let your focus be Jesus. Timing is the key. My timing is perfect. SELAH.

Prayer: It’s July, oh, Father where are the months going and the years?  I thank you for who You are and that we are Your people and You’re our God. Help is to choose, moment by moment to draw closer to You!!
In Ephesians 6:18 we are encouraged to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
Our Lord is present and we don’t need an appointment or to leave a voice mail hoping He will get back to us later. He is there. He is with us. He is ready, willing and able to talk to us and to listen.

In 2 Corinthians 1:11 speaks of prayer again saying, in part ”Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.” (NIV)
Prayer is talking to and listening to God, simple and straight forward but we do need to take time and make time to do that often.

Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. (NIV)

In Philippians we are told of deliverance. How many of us have circumstances today in which we could use a bit of help or deliverance? Prayer to the Lord works. I know sometimes it seems like I think of many ideas and solutions and then remember that I should pray about any issue that concerns me.

In Revelation 5:8 we are given another picture of prayer: Revelation 5:8

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. (NIV)

Prayer: Dear Jesus, it is incredible that You always listen and answer our prayers. Sometimes it is yes, sometimes no and sometimes in your perfect timing but you always answer. Thank you for your patience and for teaching us even through our blunders. We praise Your incredible name, Jesus.  AMEN

Wondering why....

Long time Christian women wear mini skirts and show cleavage (or very tight clothing etc) when most know what the Word says about modest dress and apparel. Most also know that guys are wired differently than we are and are really into "visual". Do they want to be lusted after? Do they want to cause a brother to stumble?

[ Adultery in the Heart ] “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,

Why do long time Christians who are grounded in the Word think it is appropriate to imbibe in alcoholic beverages on a regular basis - write about it on social media for the whole world to see (their under-age children, their unsaved friends etc) while giving all the impression that this is normal and natural?  Most of us who have done any drinking in our lives learn quickly and probably all too well what alcohol does to thought processes, common sense and inhibitions... Why would we hand our enemy a whole arsenal of ammunition to use on us to make us trip, stumble and fall?

Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler, And whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

Why do some seem to want to walk as close to the edge as they can while saying they love Jesus? Why would we choose on a regular basis to do things that are the same things which sent Jesus to the cross to die for on our behalf ~ sin.

1 Corinthians 6:8-10New King James Version (NKJV)
No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Why would a vintage gal, who was not born teething on a Bible, but came the long way around, bring things up like this? When she knows people will react strongly and probably negatively? Well, because time is short ~ all we need to do is look at the evening news and the last chapter of the book to get an idea of how short. God is going to start judgment with His church. We need to be accountable and very serious about things of the Lord. We need to be different and make a difference.

How long has it been since you or I asked the Holy Spirit to "clean our closets"? To go into those places where the door is shut and it might be a mess and talk to us about that which needs to be given to the Lord Jesus? Than which needs to be cleaned up and gotten out? That which needs to be repented of and thrown away?

I am imploring Him to have mercy (He always does) and be gentle (He always is - well, there was one time I remember being told to "shut up" but would I have listened otherwise?) But to show me His way and lead me in the paths which are pleasing to Him.
Why now, why today?

Because, dear ones, TIME IS SHORT, we might not have this opportunity tomorrow. IF there is no difference between us and the world, why would the world want to come to Jesus?

Are You a "Closet" Perfectionist?

I once had a dear friend and neighbor who told me I was a perfectionist (she and I worked together too - she was one of my staff RNs and a Christian gal) I said "Dawn?! Me, a perfectionist? You have seen my dusty house..." (I was working more than 40 hours a week as assistant and then acting director of nurses at a skilled nursing facility - rehab and convalescent hospital).

She said "let me explain - is this you? You want to clean the kitchen and start with the drawers - you need to organize them more - and think about getting a box for your safety pins, another for the pens and pencils, one for paper clips.... and then, "man, there isn't time in my day to do it RIGHT, it will have to wait..." and you go on to something else...

"Well, you are RIGHT, Dawn - that is like the tape recorder in my mind!"

"Marijo, that is exactly how a perfectionist thinks... maybe a frustrated perfectionist but a perfectionist..."

Moving right along - now that I am "retired" and even before...

My closet - yep there are some piles of shoes on the floor. the rest of the closet is organized in the rainbow colors for tops.... we start with beige, then yellow, then orange - so when I am picking a pair of pants or a jumper and want to do a red shirt and shoes – easy-peasy.

I have some folded jeans - a pile of 14s for when I want real loose pants, the 12s that fit are hanging up on pant hangers (the kind that holds about 4 pairs on each hanger in stacked layers) and the slightly smaller 12s? In a stack for when I lose weight. Then in the spare closet I hang up dresses, keep the few "heels" I have left in a shoe organizer. I have a shoe organizer in the main closet too with like colors in the same compartment together.

(We will pause here to take out Kleenex... to laugh or cry as you are inclined. Mrs. Organization has bed linens in the dryer - almonds in the oven roasting and the timer set while typing away to her friend Jean - hey, what do I smell? Oh, no, I left the timer in the KITCHEN... the $19 batch of almonds are slightly over roasted but Mick loves them that way - he says, hope he wasn't just trying to make me feel better the last time I did this, by saying that... not usually his style though.) (BTW at that price we will be switching to some other nut - they began at $14 for 3# and now up to $19 - too high - more than we spend on meat)

In the spare closet - I also have stacks of favorite jeans in size 10L, 8L and even a stray 7 WAITING for that magical day when I LOSE again - only my favorite ones - I gave the rest to the church clothing exchange and rummage sale - honest.

Mick put a vertical shelf stack in our closets and 2 horizontal ones and a top rod and a bottom rod (we do shirts and pants hangers so that is double space and the dreaded dresses are in the WIC (walk in closet) in the computer room as are the off season clothes - mostly mine.

My spices, in the kitchen, are on little plastic lazy Susans - in neat, alphabetical order, of course. Who wants to spend 20 minutes looking for oregano when you can whirl to the "O" section and grab it immediately?

Please do not choke up on the smell of slightly over toasted almonds - I am doing enough choking for both of us...

God of love and So Much More….

Believe and obey were implied in the original language (for the word used for “believe”) AND if we love we will have obedient responses… We become “bond slaves” to Christ Jesus…. (Doulos) and a slave is a slave – when we are a slave to Christ it is our of our love for Him and our devotion to Him… yes, He also calls us friends …. HE is not the seeker friendly love-y dove-y savior portrayed in many churches – yes, He seeks us, yes, He is friendly – he will also judge us and there are many verses which say if you love me then…. (feed my sheep, be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only etc)

HE is love – yes, HE also shows mercy, grace

And he is judge

Preach the Word ] I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

Many facets to this person we call Lord…

Not sure if this helps but accountability is a part of His love – think toddler…. If mama doesn’t hold the child accountable how loving is that? If mama sees the baby running full tile towards the street should she not do something to make that child realize the danger?

VERY volatile topic which IS addressed in the Word of God....
If you saw a neighbors house on fire, you would go and make sure they were not inside, wouldn't you? I would want a neighbor to come to me the same as I would want a brother or sister to come if I was walking dangerously close to the edge and about to fall off.... not done with this topic  and praying for words and His wisdom to finish writing it. Had to post what I have so far as this is so needed these days of many taking offence and walking straight into the enemy's arms.
"Fruit inspector" scriptures
God have given us guidelines on being "fruit inspectors" in His word. This is not an exhaustive list but a beginning. So many now, seem to yell "you're judging me" or "don't judge them..." but there are verses which address what we are supposed to do as believers. Hope to write a much needed and more in depth article on this topic soon. Marijo
1 Thessalonians 5:22King James Version (KJV)
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Consider this exhortation in I Corinthians 5:9-13:
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—
not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you" (NIV).
Here Paul instructs the Corinthians to judge those within the church. They must also judge those who are not in the church in the sense of evaluation, or otherwise how would we know that they are immoral, greedy, etc.? There can actually be no true relationships without judgment that is evaluation. We are judging others all of the time whether we realize it or call it that or not. What we must learn to do is judge righteously, or rightly. This begins with not trying to assume things we really don’t know about the motives of others. It also applies to judging those who are within our sphere of authority, as Paul is pointing out to the Corinthians in the text above.
Matthew 7:14-16
New King James Version (NKJV)
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
Psalm 66:18
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.
1 Corinthians 6:3-12
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!
7 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? 8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Glorify God in Body and Spirit
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
James 5:19-20New King James Version (NKJV)
Bring Back the Erring One
19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul[a] from death and cover a multitude of sins.
Corinthians 5:12-13New King James Version (NKJV)
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Ephesians 5:8-21New King James Version (NKJV)

Walk in Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit[a] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,

Arise from the dead,

And Christ will give you light.”

Walk in Wisdom

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Just some quick thoughts on being a fruit inspector from God's Word.
